"Why can't you talk about it?" Megan's words sounded harsh to listen too as Caitlin was on her way to a quick lunch in her room with a bag of Corn-nuts and a Dr. Pepper.
"I'm a private person." Caitlin told her.
"I know, but do you even like this Derrick?" Megan wanted to know.
"He's OK." She nodded. Even still, Caitlin was wondering if Megan would tell her she was gay if she knew how it was. It wasn't like she was close to getting pregnant. Still she felt as if she knew now the course of action with Derrick would she always want it this way? Would she ever really want intercourse now? She had to let it alone. Things were fine, but of course, the only person she questioned was herself. Did she even really care about Derrick? She'd found his conversations so titillating at first. But he never shut up, until he could do other things with his mouth. No, Megan didn't need to know about this.
"What about Zeke?"
"What about him?" Caitlin acted as if she didn't care, but she did. She did still think of Zeke. And maybe if she hadn't slipped into this with Derrick, they would be fine. But they weren't. They'd never be the same again. She couldn't even look at him, anymore. And she avoided him like the plague now.
