Caitlin found herself sinking fast. She knew his mom liked Megan best. Of course, if she knew the real Megan like she did..well, the woman would have thought twice.
"I don't think she likes me." Caitlin said after they left.
"She does like you." Zeke reminded her that they were going to breakfast with the two of them in the morning. Caitlin tried to put on a happy smile. Of course, she wasn't all that wild about climbing the stairs to get the bed ready.
"What's this?" Zeke looked in the bed. She guessed Smed and Megan had put on the sheets while they'd been downstairs with Zeke's family.
"You know." She winced.
"How did you do that?" Zeke was all smiles.
"Um, maybe I shouldn't have, but we needed a bed." And she could really crash on it. Right now.
"Yeah, you know, you, shouldn't have." He plopped down on it.
Caitlin yawned. She didn't really feel like washing up, but she knew she should. She yawned once more. He got the towels and the soap.
"Well, come on." He looked back at her as if he wouldn't go if she didn't.
Caitlin was too tired to be shocked. Although, she wasn't sure if she were wincing or smiling. She hoped this wasn't the way it worked all the time. Showering together. Was this just something that people who wanted to be green did, or was their some other motive? She wouldn't question it. Not to night. Just wanted to get this over with. And some sleep. He better be sleepy, she thought. It was hard to be a romantic, sometimes.
