"I think you're an idiot." Caitlin shook her head and went back to her laptop to work on a paper she'd already started that wasn't due until after Thanksgiving. She looked back at Megan then who was leaning in the doorway.
True, classes were so different now than over the summer. Perhaps, she just wasn't focused enough, but it was still necessary to keep up with the work load, and she was still waiting to hear from her Dad about the horrible thing she'd done with his credit card.
"Come with me. Please!" Megan was begging about the party now.
"No." Caitlin had so much more to worry about than a senseless party. She had an interview about being a server at a nursing home. She did not need to be distracted.
"God, this is not high school." Megan winced.
"Precisely." Caitlin shot Megan a look.
"You make everything boring, you know that." Megan plopped herself then on Caitlin's bed and told her her plan of how she was going to dump Sammi on some frat guy. She made it sound like a devious plot right out of Heathers.
"Some friend you are." Caitlin started typing.
"That's it. I'm not her friend. I don't want to be her friend." Megan told her about Smed.
"God, Megan, you can't just move her out. This is her house." Caitlin looked at her friend then. She hoped she didn't make things worse here. She thought they were all getting along. What was she suppose to say to Sammi? She wanted to be her friend. And now Megan was making her take sides.
