"Don't sweat it, it'll be fine." Zeke told Smed. "Its great your brother is getting married." After all, Dolby was the big brother who had always been there for him. Of course, Zeke was a little uneasy around Dolby. He didn't want there to be tension. He wasn't even sure he wanted to get to know Dolby, but here he was.
They stayed three days. The whole time, Molly was in the kitchen, baking, freezing up her homemade mac n cheese and other goodies. She was so sure they were starving. And she took Sammi under her wing. Too bad, Molly couldn't be here 24/7 and take care of everyone's personal problems. She listened to Megan talk about how she couldn't find a job. And she was friendly with Caitlin too. It was like Christmas had came early, and Molly had only brought chummy self and her kitchen skills to save them.
Now Caitlin knew how to fry an egg, over easy. Megan made mashed potatoes that wasn't soup. Sammi actually wanted to chop things up to help with the cooking. Everyone got along, and Dolby drank beer like there was no tomorrow.
"Is he always like that?" This bothered Zeke. Of course, he couldn't tell if Dolby was actually drunk. Zeke figured he had to be.
"Pretty much." Smed shrugged as if it was no big deal.
Zeke didn't want to smile about it, but he had to admit, he did feel like the better brother in all of this even if Dolby brought the essentials to have them set most of the winter with food.
