just to know
Sammi still missed Smed. There was no one quite like him.
But Logan looked about as awkward as she felt. He was quite shy. Yet he helped around the house. He moved tables and chairs together.
Logan was great at ignoring everyone. Even her. He'd do what was asked of him, but that was about it. He wouldn't speak. Noel, his brother, would put him on the spot and he'd look at him as if 'how dare you.." Then he'd speak so monotone.
"Do you think something was wrong with him?" She was curious.
"I don't know him." Caitlin admitted. "I didn't even know he was coming." They were cleaning up the aftermath of Thanksgiving and trying to find lights for the Christmas tree that Zeke had found in the attic.
"Really?" Well, she liked that he hadn't been hog tied to come. His name was sweet. She thought of the Logan from the Babysitter Club that she had read long ago. Of course, he wasn't that Logan. "Do you think he hates everything?"
"I hadn't noticed." Caitlin was trying her best to untangle Christmas lights now.
Sammi just shrugged. She just wanted to kick his shins the next time she saw him, to see if she got at least a response out of him. She knew she wouldn't. But still, she wanted a response of some kind. Just to know if he was stuck up or not.
