in neverland

Logan watched Alex carefully, licking the Nutella from his fingers as he made the chocolate chip cookie sandwich. They had quite a breakfast going. Logan finally broke out the goodies his Mom had sent at Christmas.

"I think we're too much alike," Alex said.

Logan blinked, kind of confused. It hadn't felt like that last night, he thought. Well, this morning, he guessed. It felt right on track. Actually. Logan only nodded. He didn't want to hear that. Especially, from Alex, but then he smiled as if that was a good thing. Not a bad thing. Logan wanted to believe that. He sighed then as if he needed something else to be sure.

That's when they kissed. It wasn't a dream, after all. Logan filled with laughter as he backed away.

"I could comeback after class, right?" Alex nodded as if it were already a done deal. "Maybe even..another night."

Logan grinned then. He thought of the things Alex knew and did. How did he know? Should he be troubled by that? He couldn't ask. He wouldn't. Because it felt...so right. There was no room for wrong. How did he get him, so?

Alex handed him over the cookie sandwich. Logan crunched down on it. Really, he would have never put the hazelnut chocolate cream on the cookies. It was just amazing, kind of like Alex. They sat together on the edge of the bed. There was a faint moment of where they'd been, what they'd done. It was so hard to think of class. Logan really didn't want to go.

Then suddenly Sammi came to mind. What about her?

"Are you going to..see..Sammi..again?" Logan looked at Alex wide-eyed.

"What do you think?" The way his lips curved up. That was an easy answer. Alex kept watching him.

"Huh." Logan thought the sandwich was too much. He didn't want it. Alex ate the rest of it.

"But-but..if ..if she knows..about..about us..." Logan felt certain he was definitely tongue tied now. Perhaps a major stutterer who needed help. Perhaps a kiss or a hug might do.

"She doesn't have to know, does she?" Alex winced.

"Right." Logan felt so giddy. Still he felt he might be in the middle of the storm, or what if he were actually... still waiting for it? They fell into each other. Suddenly, classes were such a far off world and not nearly as titillating as this one.
