Smed was sort of in a daze. Kind of wake. He drove over to Megan's in the middle of the night just so she could go to sleep.
He yawned, thinking he couldn't sleep now. He was here in this big house with a state of the art kitchen. He could only think of one thing as he got in that king sized bed with her.
"Are you wanting to do something?" She was half asleep.
"Um..." He put his arms behind his head. This bed was just too damn perfect. He grinned.
"Are you?" He doubted she was thinking what he was thinking. It was almost 3 in the morning.
"Smed?" She pulled her arms around his middle. Now he was wide awake. He was so sure she was going to sleep.
"What?" He whispered. Maybe if he were quiet she'd forget they were even talking. He put his arm around her as he agreed to this odd cuddle. The rain had past. It was all calm.
"I want to know what it feels like to live in a house like this with you." She sounded so sad as if it were just a dream that would never ever really happen.
"Well, its your lucky day." He smiled. "I really want to make a smoothie." He'd eyed the smoothie maker in the kitchen. He yawned them. "But it can wait." He knew he wasn't going anywhere at the moment. But it was such a big bed. Maybe if she went to sleep, he could somehow crawl out of her grip and sleep on the other side of the bed, roomy and free.
