Sammi watched a sea of little kids flee the mirrored room. She let out a deep sigh. Hopefully, she wasn't the only tall person here. Everyone seemed to be practically pint size.
Why was she joining this karate class? Logan and Megan had talked her into it. She needed exercise. She needed to be empowered. She'd begged them to take the class with her, but both were too busy. She highly doubted that. But here she was, lost in the teens who were coming in, all in white uniforms. Just like hers.
She rolled her eyes. This would be just as bad, she thought. Teenagers. Of course, she was practically one herself. But still, did she want some nerdy Freshman high schooler..coming on to her?
Sammi did her best to keep calm. Not expect the worst. But she had a feeling this was going to be so bad.
Finally, the instructor arrived. His hair looked like something from an anime cartoon. Yet, he was confident and ever so kind.
His smile so sincere. She watched his mouth move as he spoke of their goals. How they should stand, move their arms and legs, so strategically.
Of course, Sammi felt so awkward. She was such a newbie. But she followed along to the simple routine. Finally, he wanted them to do it individually. Sammi was so sure she was caught off balanced. She was sure to be in the floor, but her instructor caught her.
Sammi smiled. Had she meant to do that on purpose?
