"OK, so I thought ...you had a feeling about this Dung." Logan was trying to get this correct, as he squinted at Sammi on their walk to school. Yes, she'd introduced him to Lyle..but...
And then he saw the two of them waiting outside in the cold for the rest of them to get home.
"Dung doesn't date his students." Sammi shook her head.
"But this Lyle, you like him?" Logan didn't mean to make a face, but she couldn't be serious about this dufus she'd gone out with on Halloween.
"He's really not that bad." She shrugged. "I'm gonna see him again."
"Oh really?" Logan almost laughed, but he tried to remain mute on the Lyle subject. As it was, the air was so crisp. Still he went into a coughing fit. Perhaps this Lyle was choking him up. "Just ..what..do you..see in him?"
"I dunno. It wasn't that bad, you know. He's a funny guy." She told him.
"Huh. Well, he looked really funny when I saw him." Logan sighed.
"You don't even know him." She was getting a bit peeved with him now. Logan knew it was time to shut up.
"Maybe, the four of us could do something before Thanksgiving." Logan looked at Sammi then as if was still her closest friend.
"I-I dunno." She looked uncomfortable then.
"We just want to meet him. Alex and I are just looking out for you." Logan was being honest. "Look, if it doesn't work out, then you should let Alex set you up with someone."
Sammi rolled her eyes and shook her head, no. This conversation was obviously over. She made her right to go toward the science building, Logan was hoping to meet up with Alex at the fine arts building.
