Zeke was happy to take some pictures of Smed and Natalie. Of course, there was Caitlin cheering them on. They did look in character for the party they were going to. And to think it was all Alfie's fault. He couldn't imagine Alfie in a suit and tie.
"Where is he, anyway?" Caitlin asked.
"Where he always is." Zeke smiled. "I don't know why he just doesn't even move in, at Paul's."
"Hey, we need that rent money." Caitlin reminded him. "With him living here, its cut our own rent some."
She was right. He guessed. Although, he really hadn't thought about living expenses. Although, they were definitely not going out these days. Every dime they saved went to their wedding expenses. But here Caitlin was talking about how it would be so cool to have a Sixties style wedding.
"I wish.." He hated to say it, after Smed and Natalie left. "I wish you'd make up your mind."
He knew he said the wrong thing. Evidently. She gave him the silent treatment. Instantly.
"This is insane!" He said after he put his camera away. He didn't mean to be so loud. Was he yelling? Still she looked at him furious. As if he didn't have a right to complain. A part of him regretted it, terribly. But couldn't he speak up? Did she have to be right about everything?
Caitlin went up stairs and left Zeke alone in the kitchen. Soon Alex was there, and Logan wasn't far behind. They were making microwave popcorn.
"Dude, bad timing." Alex said about the matter. Logan didn't have an answer about the problem. Naturally, Randi showed up when she smelled the popcorn. She dug right in before they could take the bowl downstairs where Alex and Logan were watching horror movies.
"Look, sometimes, its best not to bring up certain things," Randi said after the boys left ,and she took half the popcorn in her own bowl. "Like, you know, I don't know if its necessary if..Noel knows...I used to have a girlfriend."
Zeke remained mute. Really, he had to be thankful, that wasn't an issue he nor Caitlin had to bring up.
