What made Derrick want to help Timo, so? The apartment was a disseaster, but they'd managed to get the place put back together. Not that many things were broken. Mainly the couch and the curtains.
"Maybe, if Izzy has a place to run." Derrick was trying his best to be positive. Although, that big dog scared him too. However, Izzy licked his hand as if she approved of him being Timo's friend. "You'll like it in the mid-west, you'll see."
"I dunno. New York was my dream." Timo sounded so down. "Yet, its kind of a nightmare too." He rubbed Izzy's head as if she was really the only thing that mattered. And all this time Derrick had been worried that Timo had it bad for Megan. He guessed he was wrong.
"Well, sounds like you and Izzy will have a place to stay. Maybe you'll find work. Things aren't quite that expensive, there." Derrick continued to stay positive. Thank God, they'd found a look-alike couch, next to nothing on Craig's list.
Still what worried him the most was the drive. Megan had never got a ticket, but she had the guts of a race car driver behind the wheel.
"You'll drive some, won't you?" Derrick wanted to know.
"I don't know, why not." Timo shrugged.
Derrick sighed. Now if he could just get Megan to let Timo do some of the driving.
