you never know until its gone

"Did you have fun?" Caitlin mocked when Megan got back from the small affair in the park. Caitlin couldn't believe they'd only had ice cream cake. What kind of wedding was that? It had to be boring. Completely.

"It was nice. Alex played the violin." Megan smiled.

"Sounds awful." Caitlin scoffed. But she knew if Alex had anything to do with the wedding, it would be full of grace and completely beautiful.

"Totally." Megan grinned. "Come on, lets go to a movie or something." She checked her watch, promising she was sure they could get into the last matinee.

It was a completely sad day. Caitlin spent most of it in bed, without Dung..who was still at the wedding. At least, Megan hadn't asked about him.

They'd spent plenty nights eating pop corn and watching VERONICA MARS in bed. It was good to have Megan here to let her survive this, somehow. Caitlin could only hope this was the biggest mistake Zeke had ever made. But she knew deep down, it was her biggest mistake, letting him go. Maybe he did deserve better, but this certainly felt close to grieving a loss she never quite knew existed until now.

Caitlin really needs to move on once and for all - just as Zeke has. :/

I'm glad Megan is there. I hope they keep their friendship going.
