Hattie was surprised to see that Timo actually had company that he'd brought with him to the thrift store. And it wasn't Derrick. Although, she didn't really know him, but she'd seen pictures of Megan and Derrick at Sammi's place. This was definitely someone she didn't know.
"This is Gavin." That was all the info Timo said. He was definitely not in a good mood, but this Gavin was really happy to see her.
"I'm his brother." Gavin smiled and shook her hand. "And he's obviously got a friend, he did not tell me about." He looked at Timo then wanting him to say something, but Timo only fumed.
"Its good to know you." Hattie smiled wishing she could get Gavin alone to talk about Timo. She did have questions, yet she wanted to be on Timo's side too. "He hasn't mentioned you."
"Yes, I have." He snapped.
"Well, you never showed me a picture." She shrugged not wanting to dwell that they were like night and day. Perhaps.
Gavin was friendly and a huggable teddy bear. Timo was more like having your favorite lizzard that you looked at from afar. Hattie couldn't help but compare them.
"Look, I get off in ten minutes. We could have some coffee or something at the diner around the corner." Hattie smiled as if she were up for that.
"We have that thing. You know, for Derrick and Megan." Timo glared at her, as if how could she forget.
"Then, he can come with us." She glared right back.
"But, they are going to be pissed." Timo scowled as if Gavin was the monkey on his back, choking the life out of him.
"No, they won't. I'm sure they would all love to meet your brother." Hattie informed him.
But the way Timo looked at her, she could see he wasn't very happy that Gavin was here.
