might as well be walking into the sea

 At least work was steady at the coffee shop. This made Caitlin more at ease and she didn't have time to really chit-chat with Dylan and he was ignoring her anyway. It was good to keep there distance or no telling what might happen.

Thankfully, no one could see her smiling under her mask as those little moments of fantasy would pop into her thoughts. Like making out in the bathroom, or, getting stuck in the supply room together. It was kind of funny, or it just made work go by faster. 

Of course, she can remember the time she was certain somebody famous might come into the Coffee Shop like Tom Hiddleston and then she looked up and saw Tommy.

Naturally, she wanted to ask why he was here, but before she could, her boss Maisy came out and practically felt him up. 

Caitlin was stunned. Was Maisy drinking on the job? She was mighty friendly with him as if she knew him very well. Caitlin couldn't help wanting to laugh.

"Did you know about that?" Dylan came close and it was like old times when they talked about everything and everyone.

"I had no idea," she told him as if they were watching a real romance in progress.

"I just wonder how it happened," Dylan shrugged. He mentioned how Tori thought it would be interesting if  Tommy met Maisy.

"Strange," Caitlin squinted. She wondered now if people said stuff like that behind her back. If they did, who would they want her to be with?

At the moment, she was giving Melvin the silent treatment and she hadn't seen Wade anywhere, and she didn't even care. Actually, she didn't even feel like doing Christmas this year. She hoped no one got her anything for Christmas because she wasn't getting anyone, anything.
