so many questions..so little time

 MEGAN: What are you doing with him?

She couldn't help but text Caitlin. Why was she over at Dylan's? Normally, she never texted her roommate since they saw each other for the most part, but since this little revelation with Cori..she needed someone to talk to. Not that she thought Caitlin would be any help but was she really helping Dylan, either?

Megan paced the kitchen and looked at her ring on her wedding finger. Was it supposed to be there, at this point and time? It didn't matter. It fit. She wondered how he knew.

Oh, the elation overtook her with smiles and even a little dance. Yes, she wanted it. She wanted to be everything with Cori. But she winced. Although, it could be just a couple's ring. She festered a frown as she looked at it more. Finally, Caitlin texted back.

CAITLIN: What do you think I'm doing?

MEGAN: Making cupcakes? Doing laundry. I don't know. Making a mural on the bathroom wall.

CAITLIN: How did you know about the mural?

Megan sighed and paced more, wondering if she should say anything to Caitlin about Cori. It was true, there was nothing they could do about Cori's past. All she could do was make the future better and he didn't want to talk about his mother nor his dad. So she shouldn't talk about it with Caitlin, either.

MEGAN: Dylan's always sending me pictures.

She then wondered if Dylan would get in trouble for doing that to his bathroom. It wasn't like he owned the place. Hopefully, Caitlin wouldn't get any strange ideas from him and decide to paint the bathroom wall.

She paused to think it was Caitlin who probably made him do it. She always said she was that kid in school that was always trouble. Now she was a grown-up, and still trouble.

CAITLIN: Is he still there?

MEGAN: Who?

CAITLIN: Don't play with me. You know, who. Do you know how hurt Dylan is right now?

MEGAN: Of course, Frankie is here. I mean, he is Tori's friend.

CAITLIN: Or do you mean lover?

MEGAN: I hear nothing. If it's so it's very quiet.

CAITLIN: Have you even asked?

MEGAN: NO! Why should I?

Megan wasn't sure what Caitlin wanted her to do. Besides, Caitlin seemed very friendly with Dylan these days. Megan thought something might be going on, but it wasn't her place to ask. What if they all went their separate ways? 2021 might have more beginnings than anyone even knew. And there was still a pandemic.
