Movin' on

"For fuck's sake," what else could LaLa say. There was someone under the covers in Aunt Bea's bed. For the first time, LaLa realized Bea wasn't just Roman's Aunt. She wasn't sure what Bea was. "Maybe she's a lesbian." That was no man in her bed.

"What?" Roman looked at her as if she'd misspoken. "She's married, you know."

"As if that means anything," LaLa spoke up, as they both came closer to realize the body, wasn't actually real. Just a life-sized doll. A special kind of doll. "Whatever floats your boat." She shook her head, thinking it would be weird living with someone with a sex doll. It would take some getting used to.

Roman cringed. "What happened to her?" He hugged himself hard as he looked at the creature with lush hair as well as lips and eyes. It might as well be the seventh wonder of the world.

"Oh, people get busy," LaLa told him. "We all have needs." She shrugged. Of course, some secrets were better not uncovering. A part of her felt a little sad for Bea yet not. Bea might know the key to life. In spite of it being a bit more artificial than LaLa would have liked, she did wonder what they had available in the Man department. Maybe she needed one.

About then, they heard the front door.

"Oh shit," Roman said above a breath as if they better take cover, like hiding in Bea's closet. LaLa shook her head, no. It was time to face the music.

When the door opened, Roman immediately took shelter behind LaLa.

"Sorry," Lala started. "But not sorry. It's just..we..we didn't know." She looked straight at Bea. "Thank god, we didn't call the cops," LaLa said she'd hate to see that scenario. She shook the thought of being on the ten o'clock news in a horrific way.

Bea wiggled her small frown as if she didn't know where to start. "It's not even mine." She snapped. "It's Marcus'."

"Marcus?" Now Roman stepped aside. "Is that why you left him, because of this?" He pointed at the evidence taking up space in Bea's bed.

"Do you know how much this thing cost?" She looked so angry and miserable. "It maxed out my credit card. Damn, him. I paid for it, so it's mine. That fool can't even keep a job. He keeps ending up playing cards or down at the pool hall, up to no good. He won't even get vaccinated. God knows, what kind of diseases that ass can get himself into." Her frown just got bigger, or maybe it was rage.

They both gave her a nod.

"I just don't know where to put the thing. I hate it in my closet. Scares the shit out me, you know." She told them as if this was just normal. People did these things all the time.

LaLa couldn't think of any more questions and Roman didn't ask either.

  2. What a weird situation, a psychiatrist might do wonders for her and bring some hidden feelings to the open. 🤷‍♀️😆

  4. As pessoas descobrirem a nossa intimidade é bem constrangedor...melhor esconder bonecas e afins bem longe da vista de visitas! 😊😊

    1. People discovering our intimacy is very embarrassing... better hide dolls and the like well away from the sight of visits

  5. Of all the things I imagined to be in Bea's bedroom, it wasn't this!!! But I have to ask. Is this the same sex doll that's Frankie's Heather?! Because that would be a whole new level of weird. Don't answer that (not that you would!). I want to be surprised when this unravels in a future chapter. Anyway, Bea is so funny talking about her husband and his unreliable, unvaccinated ways. It makes me wonder when -- or if -- he'll pop up to claim his lady love (the doll, not Bea).
