Here comes the rain

 Megan's grandparents were coming. She always felt it was just a little slogan of theirs, but they were on their way in their little travel camper. They would be staying at the nearby man-made lake that was free to seniors, but they would still have to pay for power and water. 

Of course, there was Pixie to deal with. Evidently, Cori just couldn't get through to her about Cyrus so she'd invited Pixie up for a chat. She'd made hot tea and had plenty of cookies. Honestly, she had too much on her mind, but she'd try her best with Pixie.

"We..Cori and I don't want you to mislead Cyrus," Megan said once they got settled and Pixie was into her third snickerdoodle. 

"Mislead?" Pixie looked at her as if she didn't like that question.

"We think he's high functioning..." Megan let a slight sigh, "Autistic."

"Autistic!" Megan could tell Pixie didn't believe it and might not ever. 

"Just how close are you two?" Megan asked point-blank.

"I dunno." She was ever so vague.

"Have you kissed? Are you physical with him?"

Pixie looked away as if these questions made her nervous. She then squinted. "We aren't really that touchy-feely, you know."

Megan gave her a nod.

"You need to be mindful of him," Megan was straight-lipped. "You'll have to be the grownup, you know."

Pixie nodded. 

"I know he thinks a lot of you. He talks about you all the time." Megan could tell Pixie didn't like the idea that Cyrus was talking about her.

"Just don't hurt him," Megan's final warning. Pixie looked as if she might be in tears. Of course, Megan didn't understand somebody so happy-go-lucky could have such a reaction.
