Oh, it's one of those kind of nights

Frankie brought the casserole. After all, Bea didn't have time to make anything. He brought along the eggplant parm too. It was an Italian feast. The breadsticks were heating in the oven.

Of course, what she'd said about Tori and the baby was still on his mind. He had to wonder if Andie hated Tori or was it just Dylan? He wasn't sure if he could have dinner with a person like that.

He set it straight with Bea about Tori's situation. And Bea felt bad for saying anything. She was still being very quiet.

He poured her a glass of red wine, hoping she calmed down.

"You really are kind of funny," he smiled.

"When? When have I ever been funny?" She shot back as he tinged a toast against her glass.

"Oh, I dunno." Maybe it was just fun being with her. He wasn't quite sure, but he kept smiling. "Everything is OK, right?" He said before the doorbell rang. She chewed on a celery stick and went to let the guests arrive.

It was Andie and Teegan. Frankie sighed wondering if he could ever be friends with the likes of Andie. Did she just want to start trouble? How had she and Dylan ever been friends? Of course, Andie walked in as if she might be the man of the situation.

Frankie wasn't going to lie. He was a little scared. He took in a deep breath and asked them both if they'd like some wine. Andie looked at him and practically smirked.

"Oh, my Bea, you always surprise me," Andie said.

"When have I?" Bea laughed and Andie laughed back as she took Teegan's arm.

Frankie didn't say much. He knew the less he said the better.

"Just how long has this been going on?" Andie wanted to know.

"I don't think we set a time limit? Did we?" Bea shook her head and winced at Frankie.

"No, we don't keep a calendar." Frankie gave a shrug.

Andie drank her wine.

"There was a time, I thought you would be one of us," Andie's lips parted. Teegan shook her head, no as if Andie had gone too far.

Frankie couldn't help but look at her wide-eyed. Thank God, the doorbell rang and it was Paulie and LaLa. Frankie hadn't met Paulie. He gritted a smile. No way did he want to have a conversation with Andie.

  4. Great chapter. It's really interesting to see everyone interact together. I like how natural Frankie and Bea are one with another.

    1. P.S I understand why Frankie doesn't want to speak to Andie. I can imagine that smirk getting in the way.
      Have a nice weekend.

    2. Some people make it hard to be friends with. Some people seem to just enjoy stirring up trouble. Perhaps Andie hasn't given up all her bully tactics.

  6. Even I didn't anticipate the kind of awkwardness that Andie introduced! Sheesh. Bullying someone about not being gay is just as bad as the other way around. Poor Bea and Frankie. And Frankie was so sweet, bringing all that food. Still, I have faith that the party will still be a success. Roman is looking very dapper in the collage!

By the way, I meant to mention that I wasn't surprised at all when you said that you once ran a book club. I bet you were a natural, questionnaire flak notwithstanding. There's just no pleasing some people! And it was entertaining to read about how your friend joined a book club to meet guys. I once took a forensics class at the community college because I thought I might meet someone. Spoiler alert: I did not.

    1. Funny you mentioned Forensics! In high school that's what they called the speech competitions. Oh..and it's been hard finding any pic of ROMAN anymore...dang.
