Honestly, Eddie didn't know which one to follow. Both were full of grace and ease and he stood there stiff and unlikely amused to any of it.
"It'll be OK, young man," the master said in his white robe. "We do not judge here."
Eddie nodded, but he couldn't relax. Actually. He winced. Finally, when the master said to shake it off that was one thing Eddie could do by dancing about. Somehow, they were going to find their inner energy. Eddie sighed at this and practically rolled his eyes. Next thing he knew they were talking about tiger paws.
Really? He couldn't even imagine that move but while he was trying to stroke the pony or something kind of like it, he noticed Frankie next to him.
"Having fun yet?" He practically laughed.
"This is just your way of trying to get me to be in your yoga class," Eddie did his best to ignore him, but it was hard to ignore somebody that fit. He kept his eyes on the leader who was now practically making his moves into sliding back and forth with the heel and toe.
"No, I..I just noticed you were here..I've got a question or two to ask you," Frankie said doing his best to keep up. It seemed strange that a yoga instructor would be out of sync. Actually, Eddie couldn't help but smile.
"Ask away," he said with arms drawn into making an imaginary ball at his chest.
"Um, you've worked at the hospital for a while, haven't you?" Frankie looked at him and Eddie nodded doing his best to keep up.
"Then, you must have seen Bea around," he said.
Eddie remembered. That black woman who had the dinner party. "Oh, you mean Roman's, Aunt Bea?
"Yeah, her."
"What about her?"
"Did..did you ever see her with ..I dunno.. with someone?" He could tell Frankie hated to ask.
Honestly, he couldn't think of anyone. Nobody came to mind.
"Maybe Roman would know," Eddie decided.
"Don't ask Roman," Frankie shook his head no and mumbled. "Nevermind."

ReplyDelete❤
DeleteI really enjoyed reading! A hug :)
ReplyDeleteUy parece que no le va preguntar. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThere's so much humor in this scene! I especially love: "old man's old lady fan club who greeted him like a king". But what's this about Bea? Does Frankie think that she's stepping out on him? I hope not; those two have been through enough!
ReplyDeleteThanks..about the humor 💖 A few weeks ago I went to a class we have at the library. And it was fun and such interesting people. The leader said he hoped they could do the class outside. Still, it's been too windy and chilly. There was such a variety of people and most go where ever he goes to teach a class.
DeleteI'm just waiting for you to publish the book. You write better and better! I will start writing my first book when I have time.
ReplyDeleteGreat post 😊
ReplyDeletePoor Frankie! He is so curious about it but too shy to ask around.
