Not one of our deepest secrets

 Pixie didn't want to train him. She was the worst teacher in the world, but there the kid was following Cori around. 

"Don't look so sad," Cyrus gave Pixie a pat on the back. "It takes time."

"But..but what if.."

"He's like me," Cyrus grinned as his shaggy locks fell into his eyes. "Oh, he can't be that bad."

"But..but he's never ran a cash register before. What if he can't make change?"

"Who makes change these days?" He shook his head. Even he could figure out a debit card transaction.

"Oh God, I dunno." She winced and he rubbed her shoulders while there was time to do it. Seriously, she could have fallen asleep standing up. She felt a little peakish but pizza was out of the question. Of course, she had no idea what she really wanted to eat.

"This is Alex," Cori finally brought the teen to behind the counter. "Maybe Cyrus can show him how to fold pizza boxes tonight, and he can just focus on keeping the tables clean."

Dine-in was now open and more people were eating here, lately.

Pixie nodded. Thank God, the cash register could wait another day. 

"Cyrus is our dough maker," Cori told Alex. Cyrus' lips twitched. It wasn't completely true. Pixie took care of that. But he was getting better at getting the dough in the pan and putting the pizza together. Of course, neither could take a bite of pizza these days.

"Don't you guys ever get hungry for pizza?" Alex asked after Cori left.

"No, not really." Pixie crossed her arms and Cyrus shook his head, no.

"God, I'm starving," Alex sighed.

"Well, good," Pixie grabbed the pizza mess up that was at the back of the counter. It was still warm. "Have some of this." Pixie was happy to let Alex take home pizza.
