Putting you on the spot

 Were they actually going to do this? Hope knew it was short notice. It was just Tori and Caitlin at Hope's place trying to make the guests list. Megan's wedding shower would happen at Frankie's, who said he'd pick up the bill.

"Well, we can't go wild," Hope knew this much. They'd have to stick with a budget. She was making all sorts of lists, from beer and wine to sandwiches with chips and dips. It would be a Sunday afternoon thing. It would have to be baby-friendly too, even if it were only two. She sighed, thinking it would be nice if more of her friends had babies. Never did she think she'd be this way, but she guessed it was true. Of course, Caitlin looked as if she was in her boat and no one could get to her at the moment as she was sifting through nuts to crack while at the coffee table.

"How have you been?" Hope knew she needed to ask. Obviously, she wanted Caitlin on board with what was going on with Megan's wedding shower. Of course, the real question is, "What do you think Megan would like?"

Of course, Caitlin didn't answer. She ate a nut. Finally, she looked over her shoulder at Hope.

"I got this strange question to ask you," Caitlin motioned for her to come over so Hope scooted to the couch with her notebook as if she would have something to note.

"Did you like having sex a lot when you were pregnant?"

Hope cleared her throat. She winced. She shook her head, no. There was lot she wanted to forget when she was pregnant, but then she remembered how it was when she met Kyle. It was totally infectious and the best surprise of her life. "Well, you know..near the end."

"Seriously?" Caitlin looked at her as if she was unbelievable.

"Why do you ask?" Hope squinted.

"It's just..I want it, but Deano's..I dunno..I guess he's very protective, but I'm not all in... on that you... know. I just feel this is the best time of my life, you know."

Hope nodded. After all, being pregnant was different for everyone. 

"I get it," Hope smiled. "I do, but you know there's more than sex when you're a couple. I think you need to talk to Deano about this, instead of me. I know he would listen."

About then Tori came with the drinks from the kitchen.

"What are you talking about?" She wanted to know as if she didn't want to be left out.

"Oh, you know, communication," Hope suddenly felt they'd never get back to Megan's wedding shower.

"Which reminds me, are you guys ever going to get married?" Tori looked at them both and of course, they each pointed to the other.
