Deck the halls

Oh, the holidays were coming together. Kind of. Liv didn't get on at the coffee shop even if she did apply. True, she needed to improve with the language. But it almost happened. Of course, Sunny was pleased that it didn't. Liv wanted to have it out with her, but she knew that would only make it the worst Christmas ever.

So she stumbled across the senior center. It was such a nice place, and not that far from where she was staying. There were classes for the elders in yoga and other exercise. They also offered lunch. And she got on as a dishwasher. Yes, Liv knew what it meant now to be completely at the bottom, but it was work, and maybe..maybe she could make it here after all.

It was nice to have a schedule that was in sync with Woo's and they really did enjoy each other's company. But there was angry Sunny always in a pout. But Woo didn't seem to let it bother him. It was as if it was something he was used to and Liv did her best to be like Woo. Just keep smiling.

"If anyone can be my Grinch this year, it's her!" Liv told Jade over the phone. Jade only laughed, but came back with, "You never know, she might move out like Justin did."

Liv could feel Jade's smile. She knew she was happy about this. "Of course, he checks up on Justin from time to time. At least we know he's working at the hospital." Jade said Justin's job was a lot of walking with patients and she was certain it must be tiring. "See you could be doing that."

Liv guessed Jade was right. "Have you done all your Christmas shopping?"

"Oh, we aren't doing a lot. You know, just have some good food, maybe some little something." Jade laughed softly.

"Like what?" Liv imagined an engagement ring.

"Who knows," Jade said she thought Ari wanted a new car.

It was nice to have friends around. Especially, to help them move. Eric knew Derrick was happy to be in the same building where Delia lived. It was a good deal. Now they had an extra room and Derrick had the space he needed.

"We might be over all the time," Eric told Tristan who had helped with the move.

"Well, why not," Tristan told them that Rox lived with them now. "We'll have to party all week." He said his classes were over at the moment.

"Oh, I dunno, we don't really drink." Eric hated to disappoint him.

"We don't either, but there will be plenty of food. Dale's on the fudge kick, so you know, if you want some to send to anyone this Christmas, come on over," Tristan grinned as if he might have to check on some pre-cavities soon. "Maybe we could make a movie marathon, too. We've got JUST FRIENDS to watch. And of course, all those HOME ALONE movies."

"Yeah, that would be great. I hear they made a sequel to A CHRISTMAS STORY," Eric told him. Honestly, it felt it might be the best holiday yet.

Eric looked around the place after Tristan left wondering if there was time to put up a Christmas tree. Just then Derrick shouted from his room. "Look what I found!" It was an aluminum-pink Christmas tree. "I forgot I had it."

  11. I always enjoy reading about Liv's adventures in Seoul. It's a shame she didn't get that job at the coffee shop, but it's good that she appreciates the dishwashing gig at the senior center. And sure, Sunny's a fly in the ointment, but I love that Liv and Woo are in sync. 🌎🧽💖

So Eric and Derrick move into the building! That sounds fun, not to mention full of plot possibilities. Their plans to join in the holiday revelry sound promising. I love Just Friends, and I liked the Christmas Story sequel better than the original! It's so poignant, and I always love stories about writers. Finally, who can say no to fudge? 💖💚🎬🍫

Thanks so much for including my black and white florals in the collage! It's such a basic print but so versatile. And Derrick's pink Christmas tree is amazing! 🎀🎄🎀🎄
