This Christmas

 It felt like having a new family in a lot of ways for this Christmas. Nic thought perhaps he was resisting it, but it felt so right, now with Felicity. Yes, they spent nights together these days. He didn't know he would be this happy.

"Then why don't you move in together," Tristan laughed when Nic told him how great Christmas had been. It wasn't exactly what he thought Tristan would say.

"Oh, you know, don't want to ruin a good thing," Nic was alone now. But he'd had a great Christmas with Liv's sweets, board games and even a snowball fight in the fresh snow with the others at Woo's place.  It was good to have Liv and Woo near, but it wasn't exactly like rooming with them.

"Yeah, I didn't mean all of you living together," Tristan chuckled over the phone. "We are at full maximum at the moment, and I have a feeling no one is going anywhere, but we all get along." Tristan talked about the new roommate. "His brother lives just down the hall."

"Huh? Why can't he live with him?" Nic found himself smiling.

"Oh, it's complicated," Tristan sounded to be in a good mood. "But you know, we miss you, man." He talked of the snowfall there. Although, he said it had been rather warm and wasn't anything like the winters he remembered as a kid.

Nic warmed his coffee in his little sterile kitchen. Honestly, he didn't know what to do with himself these days in his own little apartment.

"Isn't it always complicated?" Nic kept smiling. Yes, sometimes, he was glad to be away from that.

"Sometimes, good stuff happens from all that," Tristan assured him. That's when he told him about the Kenny and Carmen moving in with his parents.
