Justin was in a huff as soon as Jared told him his plan to move out. "Why would you talk to Ari, anyway?" It felt like a piece was missing from the puzzle in this mess of Jared's. Justin reminded him that Ari was his friend, not Jared's.
"Well, Jade is my friend and she...she just handed him the phone, and before I knew it I was there," He said he built a shelving unit for them.
Justin looked at him, indifferent, as if he needed Jared's share for the rent.
"I'll wait until January," Jared scrunched a frown. "Anyway, don't the two of you want your own place. You know, a fresh start." Jared plopped down on the couch in the livingroom as if he really didn't want to get into it with his little brother, but Justin swelled a sour frown and sighed.
"What about Randy?" Justin liked the way things were. Randy didn't have to pay a big part of the rent. He just couldn't leave him behind. After all, he was no longer his guardian, as he had reached the age of majority and no longer required one; yet, they were still family.
"What about him?" Jared shrugged back.
Justin nursed his bottom lip.
"Couldn't he live in the dorm?" Jared suggested.
"I just don't want to talk about it with you." Of course, Justin was back to the idea that he didn't like his brother talking to his friends. "You've got your friends. I bet you could move in with Kevin."
"Look, I need to get out on my own just as much as Randy does," Jared told him. His straight lip was stern as if Justin was the one tying them down to this place.

ReplyDeleteJustin should let Jared leave without any trouble. In my opinion, Jared is not obligated to continue living with Justin.
