Learn to forgive others

"So you really think the baby is Melvin's," Frankie cringed at the thought about Tori's baby. Of course, he'd only met the guy once and he could hardly remember his face.

"It looks that way," Megan nodded and handed him his own bowl of popcorn.

Really, he wasn't sure why he was here. Maybe it was because Hope wasn't answering his calls, but she wasn't here either. He did his best to be optimistic. He didn't have to know every second of her life. He knew it was best to stay out of Tori's life too.

"Do you see Tori much?" Frankie asked but remembered what Hope had said. Seriously, he talked about Tori a lot. Maybe Hope was upset with him about that.

As of late he'd stayed home with bad allergies. He'd had his vaccine weeks ago, and now he felt as if he was coming down with something. Although, he figured it was just his emotions.

"Not really, Dylan will text," She shrugged. "Maybe when school is out we can do something."

"Do you think Hope will move?" He said in the next breath as he began to eat the salty popcorn that Megan had popped on the stove. It was better than he thought. Still, he was afraid it was his emotions eating and not him.

"She mentioned something, but she hasn't really said," Megan shrugged again and went to get Frankie a lemonade.

"She wants me to try this dating app," Frankie nodded as if he knew he should think of himself. He'd be all alone. He knew she wanted him to stop helping her so much.

"That sounds like fun," Megan's smile was playful as they went to the livingroom to chill. She turned on Netflix and they started watching some nature show. Honestly, Frankie thought he might fall asleep. It was a show about male birds and their mating calls.

"Have you ever dated on an app?" He asked.

"No." she was very silent about it it. "Sorry, I can't help you with that."

About then, Cori came home with a couple of boxes of pizza. He put them in the fridge and went to shower. With one whiff of the pepperoni smell, Frankie could see why.

"Is Cori ever going to do anything but work at that Pizza place?" It bothered him that the guy worked so hard, but Frankie was certain he could do more than make pizza.

"Hard to say," Megan looked at him blankly. "At the moment he feels like he has to for Melvin."

Frankie nodded. He slightly sighed. Melvin, the maybe father of Tori's baby was still in a coma.

  5. It was interesting to hear from Frankie. Before I thought that maybe Hope's feelings for him were one-sided, but he seems to like her too. Which definitely complicates her maybe move with Kyle. On a less serious note, this part is funny, especially because I can relate when it comes to nature shows: "Honestly, Frankie thought he might fall asleep. It was a show about male birds and their mating calls." And this is the perfect dramatic ending, right down to the word rhythm: "Frankie nodded. He slightly sighed. Melvin, the maybe father of Tori's baby was still in a coma." Beautifully written!
