Frankie had such high hopes of seeing Heather on the Fourth, but it didn't happen. Something happened with work and her phone and he was left almost alone. Of course, Meg invited him over as if he was part of the gang now. He couldn't refuse. Although, he couldn't say he had a good time. Everyone was a couple, but him.
Roman and LaLa brought Bea to the little get-together. It felt a little odd to be left with her, but what else could he do. He did like meeting new people, but he was sure he was not her type. Still, she joked with him and got a few laughs. Maybe it was good he'd met her.
At least, he didn't really have to mingle with Tori nor even Hope. And he was happy the two met. He watched them from afar and wished they became friends. He was certain they would both be good for each other. After all, they were both pregnant.
"Can you imagine being pregnant this summer," Bea shook her head. She said the heat and humidity was even too bad for her. "I guess you wouldn't know." She smirked.
Frankie winced a smile. No way was he going to advise exercise nor diet to her, but she did have that look that she might have a thyroid problem or at least prediabetic. He told her he used to be a ballet dancer. Of course, he didn't know why he said that. Perhaps over a couple of glasses of wine made him give in to conversation just a little. He told he knew a thing or two about sweating and being uncomfortable.
"Oh, you are a cute one," Bea looked him over with a smile. "Bet you have your own fan club." She mentioned that LaLa told her that he was a yoga instructor. "I'm afraid if I got in any of those positions I'd never get up."
Frankie shook his head, and couldn't help but laugh. She just might be right. For a quick moment, he imagined himself trying to help her up and landing on top of her. He winced at the thought. "Maybe Ti Chi would be better for you." He said they offered classes where he worked, and yoga in a chair class was offered too. Naturally, she asked if he taught such classes. He told her no.
The more he talked to Bea the more he wanted to be texting Heather.
Interesting summer happenings

ReplyDeleteI found Frankie and Bea's conversation interesting. I think he is right about not being her type- and she isn't his either, or so it seems. Still, nice to read about them conversing. It is good he recommended different options for her, as different types of exercise fit different people.
ReplyDeleteDuring pregnancy, every activity is an effort :) Even putting on shoes :)
ReplyDeleteGood conversation ❤
ReplyDeleteWell written :-D
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about Frankie getting stuck with Bea. That made for some funny conversation, especially about exercise.
ReplyDeleteThat's so clever how you incorporated the Fireflies lyrics in the collage to echo your Ivy's Closet It's a Mix post.
I never thought of a unicorn being named Jeremy either. It seems so everyday. But then, I guess that makes him seem more real, ha ha.
Finally, I was very interested to learn that the chicken feet bit in your recent chapter was inspired by your friend who eats them. She must get a kick out of influencing your fiction!
