I thought I'd come by

LaLa couldn't remember ever being this dazed and confused about anyone until she met Mario.

Oh, she'd hate to break it to Caitlin but she did have one hot brother. Of course, LaLa said nothing to him when they met. She doubted he knew of her. But he was nice, on that first occasion. He made sure everyone had a plate of food before he ever had a bottle of water.

God, he was the king of clean living. She knew she would be ashamed to let him know of her diet. She liked her chicken feet on the sly and this was a specialty that Roman could make for her, and she just might need some to forget her wayward thoughts of Mario.

Of course, she was happy to see him on the Fourth. Although, even then she knew it was best not to be too happy around him. Besides, Caitlin and Mario were having a family crisis, and she was having her own with Roman.

What was she thinking, letting Aunt Bea move in?

"Damn, girl, we just got the queen of disaster out of here, and here you go inviting trouble," Roman said first thing when they were alone and Aunt Bea was at work. Naturally, Bea ruled the roost. She liked everything neat and tidy.

"But, we have it neat and tidy," LaLa thought. This was no way to live. Weren't they supposed to relax at home?

"I think she'd just keeping us sidetracked," Roman said about his aunt. "She doesn't want us to really know what's going on with her and Marcus. Hell, we haven't even heard from this fellow."

LaLa could see Roman thought there was more to Aunt Bea than they really knew.

"Do you know Marcus?" LaLa asked.

Roman shook his head no. He said it would be hard to live with Aunt Bea. He was certain Aunt Bea would be a lot to handle.

"Well, she hasn't been that bad," LaLa shrugged. Although, keeping the place free of any smells was a lot to do. Possibly, she was a neat freak. But then again, maybe she and Roman were just lazy.

"I want to know what's really in her room," Roman had never sounded like this before.

LaLa squinted. "What are you expecting to find?"

"I dunno, she keeps it locked up."

"Locked up?" LaLa's eyes intensified. "Maybe she doesn't trust us."

"I dunno, it might be more than that."

  5. Very interesting post. It seems that Lala is falling for Mario. Her conversation with Roman is also very interesting. There's always something going on in that group.

  6. Hmm, another character connection. So LaLa likes Mario. Interesting. And Aunt Bea is a chore warden with a locked bedroom. That's very interesting. The part about LaLa being self-conscious about her love of unhealthy foods around clean-living Mario was funny. I could relate because I feel that organic-only eaters are always judging me. Also, I look forward to reading your story that's "not quite as sad as Melvin's or even Caitlin's." I like how you say that all these characters in your head will determine how that goes!
