The chain reaction

It was all so complicated. Truly, Bren missed Liv. Maybe Liv was mad at her, but she'd gone to live with Rico and his Dad as if she was meant to.

"I dunno, everything is so..you know busy, these days," she was tired from work, Megan's wedding and now to have all her stuff back in her apartment. Was this really happening? Mario was going to move in? They always spent the night at his place.

"It's gonna be fine. I have a friend who's going to move into the apartment. He's perfect. He can handle just about anything. And you know, it'll be better because, well..he is a University student." Mario didn't want to leave Levi in a lurch. "You'll see, Nic gets along with everyone..and..and I'll be with you and..you know, it..it will be... us."

Bren nodded. Although, she was used to cooking for everyone at his place. Of course, it was just down to Levi and sometimes, Carly spent the night. They were still together. Although, Levi kept acting as if she was taking Mario away from him.

"I dunno." Bren shook her head. "Levi doesn't like change."

"Well, he will just have to get used to it, won't he?' Mario almost smirked as if maybe it was Bren who didn't like change. She nodded. This was supposed to be a happy time, and yet she felt at a loss, somehow.

"You didn't push Liv away. It's going to be good for her. My dad will get her and her mom to talk. I just know it. He's a negotiator." Mario told her.

"A negotiator?" She winced. She hadn't thought of that. Oh, how she dreaded unpacking. Of course, Mario had hardly anything to move. He was leaving all the kitchen utensils behind. Even his bed.

About then the phone rang, it was LaLa about the dinner party.

"See, we don't have to cook tonight," he shrugged with a smile and put his arm around Bren.

  4. Mudanças sempre dão trabalho, mesmo se vamos carregar poucas coisas. Não ter que cozinhar é muito bom de vez em quando.
