just another day....

 Weezer guessed everything was OK when Nic asked. But after he said it, he wished he had somebody to talk to. Well, he could talk about his sister, but no one could really explain that mystery to him. And to think he thought they might get close now. Obviously not. He'd left countless texts to her and nothing.

He sighed.

"Is the University tough? Are you taking too many classes?" Nic wanted to know as he was getting dinner ready, which was just a one-pot meal, but it smelled so good even if it was ham and potato soup.

"It's not too bad," He said he was undeclared. He thought everything was going OK.

"And what about the coffee shop?" Nic asked.

"It's fine." Actually, he didn't have to go in early as Mona and Jade. He got there at nine and worked til noon. His classes were in the afternoon. Still, there was a certain someone that was bugging him. He stretched as if he would not bother Nic with his problems, but he sighed as if he didn't know what to make of it. "Um, there's this girl."

"A girl?" Nic smirked.

"She's..I dunno. It's like I think she wants something from me, but then she won't say." He nodded. "It might be a communication problem." He said he met Nonnie before school started. They were in the commons. Both lost. They did find the bookstore. "She followed me around. Didn't say much. She's pretty shy." Maybe that was it. "I..I want to like her, but I don't want her problems, either."

"What kind of problems?"

"Well, I was with her practically the whole day." He said it was completely draining. "I mean, is she that way with everyone she meets? It's like the simplest problems are like major questions for her. Like what should she do? She's practically twenty. Older than me." Weezer looked at Nic. He didn't want to dislike her, but it was just too much. "So..so I'm kind of avoiding her now."

"That might be best." Nic nodded.

"I wish I could, but..but I work with her now," he winced hard. It was supposed to be the best of times, but he felt pretty miserable.
