A dream like this not something you ask for

 "Isn't this the best idea ever!" Of course, Mona was down with it. She didn't care to give up some rent to this brother of Pan's. It was a good cause, wasn't it?

They were in the kitchen of Nic's apartment. She looked around as if she was ready to own the place.

"Oh, most definitely," Nic nodded as if he agreed, but she didn't see it on his face. She kissed him anyway. Happy, that she was finally getting what she wanted.

"I can move in now!" She was so happy as she smiled at him, but he looked at her ever so seriously. Finally,  he nodded.

Why was he so stoic? She wanted to know, but he wouldn't say. Still, she wouldn't scold him about it. They would just go on. Everything was going so well these days. Even if he did escape back to his place most nights.

"Maybe..maybe we just need a bigger bed," she decided.

"Huh?" This cracked him up. "Look, we could have a king-sized bed and you would still have one leg wrapped around me at night."

Mona smiled and nodded. She would take note. She would do her best to give him space.

"Let's go look at beds," she locked herself around his arm as if no way was she going to let this go. It would all work out. It would have too.

Of course, she was trying to remember everything Jade suggested, like being more helpful, organized, and cleaning up more. 

She could do it. Still, there was that certainty that Nic was a tidy person. She was not. He knew all her secrets now how she never threw anything away, not even plastic bags. Oh, there was a host of them under her bed. She wasn't sure if she could move in in a day, but she would try.

"Maybe, maybe you could help me," she knew he'd know what she needed and didn't need.

He nodded as if he might be her number one handyman. Mona was giddy as could be. It was like Christmas in May. She'd never been more thrilled in her life. Yes, this was going to be a summer to remember!
