You can feel it in your mind

Cori felt even more miserable after Tess/Tori told him everything.  Now he was the one who felt strange or was that not normal. Was he crazy? Why had she made such an impact on his psyche?

He looked to Megan wanting her to say something. He let out a slight sigh not sure what he could do to comfort Tori. Especially, about losing everything. She was such a sad person.

"I'm..I'm really sorry.."

"Don't be sorry," she looked at him blankly as if the subject was closed. "I'm fine."

But was she? He really wondered.

"When's your birthday?" Megan said out of the blue as she reached for a calendar behind her.

Cori winced wondering why was Megan asking something so trivial.

"Oh, it was Halloween," Tori shrugged.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Cori asked.

"How did I miss that?' Megan shook her head as if she should have known. "Cori could get pizza and we could ask Dylan over." She sounded as if there was still time to celebrate.

"No," she shook her head, but Megan was already texting Dylan.

Cori looked at Megan as if she was over the top with things like this. He really didn't feel like having a party.

"He's bringing a cake!" Megan squealed. "And he already knows your favorite color." Megan practically winked. "Just what have you two been up to?"

Cori winced wondering if Megan was trying to make Tori and Dylan into a couple. There go-to couple. She hadn't said a thing about Caitlin and Melvin. It was as if she was on the outs with them.

"I just crocheted him a Princess Leia wig," Tori shrugged.

Cori rested his chin on his fist. Tori really did crochet a lot, he thought. He could imagine the two of them in some sort of swordplay. Maybe she was Darth Vador.
