Man, oh, man you're my best friend

 There were new faces in the house. Well, Mario didn't tell anyone there were new roommates. It just didn't seem necessary. But they'd been here for almost two months.

Tegan was from Ohio and was here to finish up at the nursing program for infants while Levi was possibly going to get a music degree after all. Neither had told Mario much and he did his best to stay out of their way. 

Of course, they might as well have been strangers. Tegan was always at the hospital and Levi stayed in his room mostly. So Mario didn't see much of them. Other, then in passing.

"Well, it kind of sucks," Rico told Mario. "Isn't there supposed to be more fun in college life?" As if was Mario knew Rico hadn't really met anyone at school, but at the skating rink, oh he was every middle school girl's dreamboat.

Rico swore he didn't like it, but Mario could see he liked having a fan club. Usually, every week he was bringing home little gifts like teddy bears and candy bars. 

"Well, you know life is really boring when you're working hard," Mario shrugged. That was the way he liked it. 

"But couldn't we at least have like..you know, one dinner a month," Rico suggested.

Mario said he would have to think about it. It did sound like a nice idea, but if neither wanted to, he couldn't do a thing about it. Besides, Rico missed Deano and Caitlin.

"We could just meet up at the pizzeria with them," Mario said.

"Why don't we order pizza right now and see if anyone here wants to join us," Rico was optimistic, but Mario had his doubts.

"All right, put the order in." Mario knew Rico wouldn't let the pizza rest for long. So Deano said he could drop by with a couple of pizzas. Of course, he brought beer too.

"Oh, you didn't have to do that," Mario said just when Levi opened his bedroom door.

"Do I smell pizza?" He asked.

That's when Deano said, "Hey man, what are you doing here?" He grinned.

"Deano?" His smile was genuine.

Deano only laughed. He put down the pizza and beer and gave his friend a hug.
