That's cinema, uh-huh

Pixie was glad to get the help. As it was, there was so much they needed with ballet shoes and leotards. Eddie came with his sewing machine ready to mend or even make curtains. Together they dug through boxes of what was there. Thankfully some of it was doable.

Eddie was serious about organizing. Instantly he knew what to throw out and what to keep. It wasn't long before they spent the day together at the vacant school. Sure, they could hear Eric and Derrick laughing as they were sweeping and moping up the dance floor. Really they hoped to fill the classes up soon. That was Frankie's department and he was working from home.

"So how are things really going with  you and Cyrus?" Eddie asked, almost on the sly. After all, he was good with tulle and making some fabulous tutus.

"All right," Pixie shrugged.

"Just all right? But you two have moved it up a notch." Eddie smiled.

"Up a notch?" She drew a blank, which cracked her up. "I don't think so."

"Well, you better think again because Cyrus thinks so." Eddie nodded and went back to sewing.

"What are you talking about?" Pixie winced hard. She had only been thinking about what she should start wearing once classes began. Really, she did not look the teacher part, but this.... What was he getting at?

"Oh, he told me what happened after Caitlin and Deano's wedding," Eddie was very straightforward as he zig-zagged another stitch on a hem of a tutu.

"I don't  know what you mean?" Pixie turned away from him and thought of how she used to dance whenever and where ever she pleased, But he wasn't talking about that kind of dancing. She winced back at him. She crossed her arms.

Her lips begin to twitch. Yes, she'd had too much drink. There had been a lot on her mind. Suddenly, she was horrified. What had she done? She did her best to grit a smile. This was going to be hard to talk about with Cyrus. She shook her head, no. Thinking it was best to say nothing.

"Oh, you better say something to him," Eddie pointed a finger at her as if he very well knew what she was up to. "It's the least you could do."

  1. Hmmm... I'm not sure how to take that conversation. :) I don't think Pixie does either! "that kind of dancing" I'll have to go back and look, did she get carried away at the wedding ha ha? :)

  5. Oh wow, so Pixie doesn't remember that night with Cyrus! No wonder she's seemed so unresponsive. I'm so glad Eddie said something. He really knows what's up -- in addition to making fabulous tutus! If the red and black beauties in the collage are any indication, then he's worth his weight in tulle. 🩰
