12 new chapters. 365 new chances.

"Mona actually likes us," Rico said about the matter as he opened the apartment door with her key. This was her present to Liv and Rico, a night at Mona and Jade's alone.

It was better than a motel room because there was a kitchen. The place was all tidied up and they had the place to themselves. Oh, she knew they needed some alone time. Of course, she said as she gave them the key a few days after Christmas, "Don't do anything I  wouldn't do."

Of course, Liv expected Mona and Nic to jump out from behind the couch shouting, "Surprise!" But there was none of that.

"Oh, I don't want any trouble from anyone," Liv said. Although, Rico kept thinking she was talking about his dad or maybe her parents.

"No, what if Jade has come to her senses and thinks Ari is an airhead." She put down her bag of essentials that she'd kept at Bren's.

"He's not that bad," Rico had talked to Mona's uncle a few times. He seemed to get along with everyone. Rico didn't find him too much to handle.

"I guess. At least she's not with my brother," Liv said with a sigh.

Rico didn't say anything. Rico wished she hadn't brought up Tristan. Sure he wanted to say, "This is an important night." Well, it could be. But why chance it. "Let's just watch TV." He went for the remote.

"We could be doing that at home," She shot him a look as if she did know the importance of the night.

"Of course," Rico winced with a smile. Still, he hoped they were on the same page.

"I'm taking a shower," she then informed him.

"OK," he looked around thinking he could push two beds together and he'd have it all set up like some quickie master plan.

She went on to the bathroom and he began his operation, hoping he wasn't ahead of himself. Thankfully, he could practically scoot the beds together with his leg. It was quite simple. He imagined them together. Finally, that moment, making the start of the new year as a real couple.  His luck they'd roll between the beds and then into the floor. Rico moved the comforters out of the way. He could hear the shower was on. He fluffed pillows and smoothed down the sheets. Still unsure to be dressed or undressed.

"Well, come on," Liv said after she opened the bathroom door and looked at him as if he was definitely in the wrong place. He needed to be in the shower with her.

  4. Lots of first times going on for everyone! I love it; it's very romantic. I especially love how Rico is worrying about getting everything right, and then Liv is all, why aren't you in the shower already? Also, this part is so funny: "Of course, Liv expected Mona and Nic to jump out from behind the couch shouting, "Surprise!" But there was none of that." Thanks goodness! No one needs an audience when losing the V card.

This collage is so fun and colorful! Thanks so much for using my tropical print; I love seeing it in January! Also, the Herbal Essences are such a clever, retro nod, perfect for Liv and Rico's shower. πŸ˜πŸ§ΌπŸšΏπŸ§½πŸ’–πŸŒΈπŸ’ŒπŸ’
