Oh, oh oh oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh

 

"We're gonna have a great Valentine's day," Ari said with a smile as if he was miles ahead of Jade on the situation. She couldn't imagine what he had in mind. But she was sure it would be at his place, possibly rose petals would be involved along with a bubble bath.

"No, I was thinking we should do something with Pan and Roxanne," he shrugged. 

"Oh, really." This was unusual. She imagined him going to 42 Degrees and buying some potion that was supposed to rock their world. "OK." Jade liked that he wanted to include them. And it wasn't just about US.

Of course, at the moment, he was dancing around his kitchen, chopping veg. They were making a big omelet to share for dinner.

"I'm only getting you flowers," he told her. "We can bring pizza to their place."

"I'd rather have it here," Jade said. "Our place-

"Oh, my god," he laughed. "YOU JUST SAID OUR PLACE." He laughed even more.

Jade sighed back and wondered why in the world would she say that, but she smiled as if she could laugh at this moment too. Of course, he had to kiss her and she was certain the whole place might catch on fire.

Really, emotionally she was dragging lately. It wasn't the flu, maybe a little fatigue. Honestly, she thought she might be unconscious at the moment but he hugged her close even if he did smell of onion. Sometimes, his closeness bothered her a great deal, but she didn't push him away. Although, she did remind him there was an omelet to make. 

Finally, he was on cue as he beat the eggs with chopsticks and poured it into the skillet

"I just don't know if we can get Pan to leave his apartment. He's so..I dunno..set in his ways. It's like dealing with a very grumpy old man, sometimes." Ari shook his head as he tilted the skillet and pushed in the egg with the spatula while the watery part ran underneath. 

"I guess you're right," Jade liked the calm now. Yes, it was best just to stay indoors together.

"I'll just order them pizza," Ari said.
