Finding out that a person feels the same way as you do.

Jade didn't know if she could be around Mona. Yes, it was a love-hate friendship. Actually, she'd always disliked her a little, but now even more so. She didn't want to carry this kind of anger and stress.

"Then don't go back there," Ari's answer to everything. She closed her eyes in thought as she sat on his couch. Of course, he wanted her to move in. This was his favorite topic. She hugged herself to be ready to push him off of her if she had to. "I don't know what the big deal is?" He sat back as if he could be just as honorary as she was.

He sucked in a breath and looked a bit peeved. Jade looked over at him and finally took his hand. "I just want it to be the right time to move in together."

"Well, when is the right time?" He clasped his fingers through hers.

"I dunno. It might be soon." She was straight-lipped. "I'm tired of coming home to a mess. She's such a messy person. How did I not know this?"

"Um, she's never had to do much at home," Ari told her. He remembered when he was a kid. "She could do whatever she wanted. She didn't like to pick up things. She just waited for Mom to do all that. And her dad, god, he wouldn't hear of anyone reprimanding her."

"Well, there is something going on with her and Nic. I thought they were so..I don't know..you know, one of those I'LL HAVE WHAT THEY'RE HAVING kind of couples, but I dunno." Jade felt as if she was at a loss. Yes, maybe she would always be on Tristan's side. And as one-sided as it was, she didn't see that person that Mona saw. "Was Tristan really that bad?"

"Oh, that," Ari shrugged. "I didn't really know him. I mean, she seemed to think he was everything to her in the beginning."

"Really?" She winced. Jade felt as if Mona must have been different then. But she kind of doubted it now. "I mean, she's the type who goes for what she's after."

"Kind of like me?" Ari's ridiculous smile made Jade laugh.

"Oh, there was some other guy, before Tristan. It was somebody from the neighborhood. It was kind of silly. But really, he was just a fanboy and she hated it. She was so mean to him. I don't even know if he's around now."

"I know Tristan has his own problems, but there are two sides to every story, too." Jade knew this much. "I just don't know if Mona and Nic are good for each other, anymore."

Ari nodded. Yes, he agreed to have a relationship you needed to be good to each other.

  1. You really don't know somebody sometimes until you live wirth them. Or you do but it can still change things. I love the title of this one.

  3. Jade and Ari discussung Mona. It makes it easier for them not to deal with their own issue - that of Jade's moving in with Ari.

  4. Wow, things are getting serious with Jade and Ari! Well, at least on Ari's side. Jade should take all the time that she needs; it's never good to rush into moving in with someone. As for Mona and Nic, I don't know. Hearing more of Mona's backstory explaining why she's so irresponsible was interesting. It's definitely not good when one person expects the other person in the relationship to do everything. I'm excited to see how these two love stories play out!

Thanks so much for including my yellow and paint palette pic in the collage! It looks so cool the way you cropped it, especially with the other yellow stuff in the mix! πŸ’›πŸŽ¨πŸ’›πŸŽ¨πŸ’›πŸŽ¨πŸ’›πŸŽ¨πŸ’›πŸŽ¨πŸ’›πŸŽ¨
