C'mon, dude, I can't believe who

 "I'm sorry, I just can't..." Oh, the words were muddled in Nic's brain. He was devasted when Tristan told him the news. All Nic wanted was to see him again, like old times, but that wasn't going to happen.

"Even if Dale was well, I couldn't go," Tristan admitted, "I..I need her, too..and well, I couldn't leave her behind."

Nic smiled now thinking he wanted to say something like that..some day. Of course, he reminded himself how he'd left Mona behind like she was stale fast food he just couldn't get rid of fast enough. He hated being that guy and yet, he was glad he'd left her behind.

"Still, if..if you can do this one thing for me," Tristan confided he was the worst brother ever. "I mean, you've been the best brother I never had and well, I guess..what I'm asking," Nic remembered the crack in his voice. "Maybe..maybe Liv would be better off with you."

Nic still couldn't believe she was coming, What was Tristan asking him to do?

He was a nervous wreck since that phone call. Every night was sleepless and he just didn't think he'd rest once she got here. Still, he kept Tristan in mind. 

Although, he'd been a stupid fool to send Tristan that airline ticket. What was he thinking? It made him dizzy, but here he was at the airport waiting for someone's arrival. Would it be the beginning or the end of something?

Why did Tristan think he could be the big brother he couldn't be? He wanted to understand. Of course, he'd wanted to meet Liv after meeting Felicity. Maybe they were nothing alike. Maybe it was just this stupid problem of his, thinking the two were identical. Still, it felt so foolish. 

He didn't want to be homesick. He didn't think it was true. And yet, he'd missed Tristan and he wasn't even coming.
