Your head is there to move you around

 

"Are you sure, you really made the first move?" Liv looked at Nic as she handed over the corndog with stringy cheese on the inside for him to take a bite. "Who makes corndogs without a dog, huh?" She was a little dismayed over the trendy treat.

He had a mouthful. Of course, what ever he said she couldn't hear.

She nibbled on the corndog. No way was she throwing it away. "Next time, fried chicken for sure." Of course, she thought about Nic when he was with Mona, who always called the shots.

"Hopefully, she's no Mona." She turned on the TV and watched some game show where people were in silly masks singing.

"Felicity is no Mona." Nic was still licking the cheese from his mouth. He squinted as if Liv was being impossible.

"See, you are not a fighter. Mona wanted someone she could spar with. That's why my brother lasted with her for so long. She would have made the first move." Liv was straight-lipped about it. Finally, Nic sat down next to her.

"What about you and Rico?"

"He's like this brother I always needed and then..um..I know we shouldn't have. Maybe that's where it went wrong." She shrugged as she finished up the corndog. "Sure, I miss him. I really do. He always let me talk about anything. And he really listened."

"I listen to Felicity all the time," he told her.

"Well, you gotta do more than that," Liv looked at him out of the corner of her eye.

"But..but we are co-workers, I mean-"

"What, you'll be punished if you date?" Liv couldn't help but make a face of disgust.

"It's hard to say," Nic winced hard.

"Just go for it, will you?"

Nic nursed his bottom lip.

"I am not coming between you two," Liv jumped up as if it was the perfect time to make her exit.
