Don't know how you got me started

Nic was so close to calling in Liv missing, but her number rang. Only it wasn't her.

Woojin said she was asleep and come in the morning. And could he bring her stuff. After all, he lived at his sister's place with his niece.

"We have the room," he mentioned how he was trying to get her on at the language school, but it might take some time.

Nic wanted to go to Woojin's place immediately, but even Felicity got on the phone with him and they spoke in Korean and at least, it soothed his nerves.

"We will go in the morning," she would make sure they would know then how things really were.

"But I don't want to take her things," Nic was adamant.

"But she doesn't want to be here," Felicity told him. She didn't have to say it, but he was certain Felicity didn't want Liv here, either.

"She..she has to go home," Nic kept even-lipped.

"She doesn't have to," Felicity's words stunned him. What was going on? He wasn't sure he'd understand if she told him. "Maybe, maybe Woojin will be good for her."

Nic felt as if this was just wrong. It had to be. Naturally,  he didn't sleep a wink even if Felicity was there. He wanted her to stay out of it, but that wasn't going to happen.

So there they were at Woojin's apartment, an older building but really in a refurbished condition. It looked to be an honest neighborhood. And Liv was still asleep.

When Liv heard voices, she practically wanted to jump. Although, it was sluggish to get dressed. She felt as if she was late for something. Of course, it was Felicity talking to Woo in Korean then translating everything to Nic.

Everything went quiet when Liv arrived. Nic went to her as if he meant to shake some sense into her, but he didn't. Still his disappointed face looked down at her. "Are  you sure you're OK?" He asked and Liv nodded.

"What's going?" Liv turned to Felicity as if she was the one with answers. Not Nic.

"Oh, it's going to be a long shot, getting you into that school," Felicity shook her head. "I doubt your grades are good enough."

"My grades..my grades are fine," Liv snapped. There was an uncertainty they might not be so great, taking this break right now. She'd been rather relaxed in getting her assignments completed. She was so close to graduating. She could have her high school courses completed by December. If she got to it.

"So you say," Felicity's eyes lit as she hugged herself. "You gave us a scare, you know. Have you thought about what you've put Nic through?"

"I know, I was going to let you know." She looked to Woo then as if she thought he wasn't trustworthy.

"I don't want to make things worse," Woo said rather thoughtfully. "I just saw the text and... and I called." He looked Liv in the eye. She sighed back.

"What is this really about?" Nic pressed his lips tight as if she needed to be honest now.

"I couldn't take another night on that air mattress." Yes, it was simple. "And..and I want to stay. But not with you." She winced then. "You have been a brother to me, and well, I want to be the little sister you need, too."

  1. Maybe Felicity understands in a way Nic can't. Woo seems like a nice guy. I'm starting to really like Felicity. Liv seems a little unmotivated with that line about if she gets to it, but maybe this will galvanize her. I love tha she's staying for a bit!

  3. It seems, Liv is somehow complicating Nick's and Felicity's life.

  4. Ah, so Liv's sleepover has caused some tension between Nic and Felicity! At first I thought Felicity was being harsh, but then I realized that she was right. It isn't healthy for Liv to keep bunking with Nic, and not just for lumbar support reasons. I'm glad that Liv is looking for independence -- either with or without Woo. πŸ˜΄πŸ’€πŸ˜΄πŸ’€

Thanks so much for including my fish in the collage! They make me happy on this dark fall day! πŸ˜€πŸŸπŸ
