This world is going to burn

 "So? It actually happened?" Tristan was shocked to find out that Nic finally tied the knot with Felicity. Of course, Nic was face-timing him from their honeymoon on JeJu Island. Tristan had to wonder if his friend had to get drunk or maybe his fiancee drugged him.

"It's for real!" Nic smiled back.

"Great!" All Tristan could do was smile back. It certainly felt all his friends were moving forward, but him. So it was all a bit of a downer, but Tristan wouldn't dare show it. "So how do  you feel?"

"Not that much different." 

Suddenly Nic was mute.

"Did you have to dress up?"

"Well...you know.."

"Oh, I know."

Tritan shook his head, yes, and kept smiling. He knew Nic was scared shitless. 

"It's gonna be fine bro, you are going to be just fine. Don't overthink it, OK."

"I know, I just wanted it to be on Valentine's Day, you know, but then we both had to work and couldn't get a flight out until the day after."

"It's OK, you took the plunge! You're a married man dude!" Tristan beamed. Still, he felt bad that he hadn't thought of getting married on Valentine's day. No, he was stuck with an Ape who didn't want to poop. Yes, his life at the zoo was ridiculous, but it was his life.

"We've got snow!" Tristan announced which he knew was quite simple and miserable, but it was true. And to think he was so afraid Dale might get hurt while she was out reporting the snowstorm, driving around Omaha. He couldn't let on the anxieties he had for her. Oh, he couldn't even tell her about the sleepless nights of worrying about her, but he knew it was best to think of the sweet parts, the good things, and go on. They didn't even get to spend Valentine's Day together, but it didn't matter. They'd make up for those times. They always did.
