"You're getting silicone wedding bands?"
Trish looked at Carmen and Justin as if they were out of their minds. "You can't even afford an engagement." She snapped, hugging herself with great disappointment as she went back to the kitchen to check on the simmering stew.
Carmen looked at Justin with a swelled frown, and he sighed, gazing up at the ceiling. "You know there is no way to satisfy her."
"Shu." Carmen squeezed his hand. "We should have at least gotten the Tungsten rings."
"Well, these were on sale and they are breathable and if..if we got in an accident, they're easy to cut." Justin reminded her.
"I know, but," Carmen tensed. This was going to be a very long engagement at this rate.
"At least Liv wears a traditional gold wedding band. It was Woo's mother's. It's got history. And it's sustainable!" Trish marched back to the livingroom to tell them.
Carmen sucked in a breath, not sure what to say. That's when Trish's husband, Kim, came to the rescue. He began to remind her how much she hated her engagement ring. "Do I even see it on your finger, right now?"
"I'm cooking," she said she still wore her grandmother's wedding ring.
"That wasn't the one I gave you. You said, you wanted the Navajo wedding band when we were out in New Mexico when I asked you to marry me."
"Well, I outgrew that ring." She looked so innocent as she spoke about it.
"The silicone wedding band will be stretchy, let them do what they want."
It was that simple, but of course, Trish frowned and never said another word to anyone that night at dinner.

Great post. I wish you nice saturday 😊
