The rush of Christmas

"Do you know how lucky he is?" Chewy just couldn't get over Jun's new setup.

"Well, let's not dwell on it," Chai thought they should be worrying about Christmas for Daisy. It seemed they were out of K-pop Demon Hunter outfits at every place they knew to shop. And Chewy wouldn't let her have the dolls from the TV show because they looked so breakable.

"She's not old enough to even think about stuff like that," Chewy kept insisting.

"She out grew Bluey along time ago," Chai was in a fuss about it. He went online to see what he could find, but everything was so pricy. Did a little girl really need a graphic tee that was well over twenty dollars.

No way was Chai going to let Chewy be down about how great everything was for Jun to be with a super model these days who was going to have his baby.

Chewy flicked the black tail of his duster and took a seat at the computer. He went to look for images of the trio of Demon Hunters. He copied and saved and put it on a hard drive.

"What are you doing?" Chai looked at him as if he'd done something against the law.

"It's our last hope." Chewy looked at him as if he would take care of this for once and for all.

"What are you going to do?" Chai looked at him as if he had to be up to know good. Daisy was still at the daycare.

"We'll make our own. At the library." Chewy left with a smug face. All Chai could do was follow.

Chewy hurried to the library in their econmy car that could hold three people. "Now you don't have to come with me, if you don't want to.

"I'm not sure I want to." Chai shrugged.

"Fine, just get coffee. I'll be back in thirty minutes or so." Chewy knew where he was going. Chai wasn't even sure where to find the coffee. He never went to the library.

He couldn't imagine what Chewy was up to, but he evidently knew his way around the makersspace. Chai sat down and kept looking at shirts on Daisy on the online store. It seemed prices were getting higher and higher, but he knew how cut she'd be in a hoodie. Daisy loved hoodies. Just as he clicked on the hood to buy that was well over twenty-five bucks, here came Chewy with a graphic tee with Daisy's favorite trio. He'd managed to make her a cup with a lid, too.

Chai bit a grin. He wasn't sure he wanted to tell Chewy about the hoodie he just bought.
