 This couldn't be, was the first thought that came to Megan when she opened the door and saw him standing there. Instantly, she thought of warm days and laughter doing nothing with her first love of long ago. It was hard to think straight.

Thankfully, Cori was there or she might have been in a trance the entire time Kyle arrived. He was from New Mexico and from some small tribe that was another world away. 

"Actually, I haven't been back in a while," he told them. "I've been here for at least six years or so."

She knew they couldn't have crossed paths. Just another doppelganger. She looked at Cori thinking he was the one bringing in doppelgangers or was that Caitlin.

He said he didn't have a significant other. Megan winced wondering what that was supposed to mean. Kyle went on to say he wanted to be a drama teacher but doubted he'd ever get to teach what he wanted so he changed his major to electronic engineering.

"Kind of a do-over, but I think I can manage it," he shrugged as he looked at the both of them.

"And..and you work at the coffee shop," Megan nodded trying to stay focused. Kyle nodded.  Still, Megan couldn't help but stare. She knew exactly how Cori must have felt when Tori moved in. If he could do it, she had to too. She couldn't deny someone a place to live just because he looked like someone she used to know.

Still, it was best to remain quiet. Although, she suddenly had an urge to go to the bathroom. She thought she might throw up. Only she belched and sprayed the bathroom leaving it the scent of clean linens. 

She blew a breath, wondering how long Hope would stay. She'd said it was only temporary. She wouldn't stay here once the baby was born. 

Immediately, she told him about Hope's situation. "Are you OK with that?" She also mentioned that she and Cori lived together.

"It's fine with me," Kyle said. "I lived in a lot worse places. I grew up where sometimes there were three of us to a bed. Even six to a room." He claimed to be adaptable.

Before she knew it, he was signing the agreement. Not once did he give her any indication that he knew her nor really wanted to know her.
