 "I think she's a little upset with me," Roman nodded, still wondering why he was down here at Cori's Pizza. Not a soul around but Cyrus who was folding boxes.

"I thought you just needed me to study with you," Cyrus drew a long face as if he could only think of trivia. "You aren't that bad, really?" Of course, he was raring to go to another pub quiz.

Roman sighed and explained again that he was leaving the coffee shop for a hospital job. Would it be that big of a deal for him to come and help Pixie at the coffee shop?

Cyrus looked at him as if Roman had really lost it this time.

"It would make me nervous." Cyrus was honest.

"I know, but it's an early morning thing. She might not could handle it, you know, with somebody new." Cyrus nodded as if he might think about it.

"I'd have to touch money."

"Not necessarily." Roman shrugged. Money didn't really change hands that much each day. Most used a card these days. 

Cyrus nodded, but he was frowning.

"I know you really like her..and..and what if the next person..you know..falls for her many charms..then what?"

"What?" Cyrus looked at him blankly.

"Oh, come on. You know how hard it is to find help these days?" Roman's voice rose as he winced hard. He knew that's why he'd gotten on so easily at the hospital. Maybe he was just passing on a favor. Of course, he was sad about Pixie and what she'd been through, yet thought it best to keep that story to himself. "I just want you two to be together."

"Together? Like how?" He looked baffled as if Roman needed to coach him.

"A working relationship." He nodded. 

"Working?" Cyrus looked at him out the corner of his eye as if he'd never heard of such a thing. 

"Uh-huh." Roman nodded he knew his boss at the coffee shop would take Cyrus in an instant. She liked pretty boys because after all, she thought that's what the customers wanted.

"Sure," Cyrus nodded. "I'll do it."
