The trouble with Andie

 "You're babysitting now?" Andie gave Bea a look that she'd lost it now. "When did that happen?" They were getting coffee at the hospital cafeteria. Bea had done her best to avoid Andie (also a nurse) who had overheard her evidently talking to some nurses who had families about her sweet moments with Cora. Such a funny little thing. So talkative and loved for the two of them to use watercolors.

"Yes, I'm afraid so." Bea might have given Andie a perturbed look.

"Are you still with Frankie?" Andie asked.

"Uh-huh."

"Are you living with him?" Andie practically snapped as if she'd found the wrong fellow.

"Um, kind of," Bea said she still hadn't given up her apartment yet. Maybe she would sub-lease it. If she could.

"Are you serious?" Andie tilted her head as if Bea had gone crazy. "It just doesn't make sense."

"Why?" Bea winced, wondering what had she ever done to Andie. For that matter what had Frankie done to Andie.

"Cause, you could break him like a twig," Andie told her. 

"What do you think we're doing in bed?" Bea had to ask even if she knew she shouldn't. "Sumo wrestling?"

Andie laughed. 

"Girl, you worry me sometimes," Bea said as she shook her head. She steadied her black coffee and dozed it down with some cream.

"Me?" Andie scowled back.

"What have you been up to? You and Teegan engaged yet?" She thought she'd bother Andie back.

"Why? We haven't been together that long."

"I thought you'd say that." Bea sighed and took a sip of coffee. "Such a shame," Bea shook her head. "Teegan has a lot of patience with you. Remember that."

Bea left Andie on her own. She didn't have a comeback line. And that made Bea happy the most.
