All in a day's work

Dora bit into another baby gouda cheese and stuffed a rice cake in her mouth. It was lunch. She hadn't the time or the money to go anywhere. She was multitasking with the data from the yoga classes and the dance classes too. Finding out who paid and who still needed to. And of course, there were notifications of someone who wanted to buy one of Derrick's crochet critters at the online website. It was never-ending.

"Why are you doing this to yourself?" Delia wanted to know. Of course, she wasn't working as hard. She was a people person, usually chatting up parents but sometimes yoga people too. She just never knew when she might meet Mr. Right. Of course, she hadn't yet.

"Because," Dora said between mouthfuls. "I have to survive somehow."

"Oh, if you weren't buying high-end handbags, and those shoes you have on, aren't cheap either," Delia pointed out.

Dora said nothing but kept typing away and pointing her cursor to something.

"See, this is what you get for having a crush on someone who doesn't even know you, exist," Delia told her.

"We have talked about that already. Can't you find something new to talk about," Dora finally looked back at her. "Besides, he needs me."

"Now you sound like you might be his manager or something," Delia looked at her out of concern.

Dora only winced. "We're just friends."

"You need better friends," Delia told her.

Dora only sighed. "Maybe I need a better roommate," Dora smirked. "Oh, you know you'd be out of here if somebody really sharp looking walked in."

Just about then, a guy who looked like he knew where to buy clothes was at the counter. Delia just smiled. Dora guessed it was her lucky day.

  5. Delia and Dora, what an entertaining duo! I love their give-and-take and how Delia calls Dora out for buying shoes and bags. The end, as always, is the best:

    1. Thanks so much! Well, I thought there might be some confusion of who was actually Dora since the two do us about everything together. I kind of thought it was time to separate them. Initially, they were just girls that Derrick and Eric dated..but of course, they are so much more(✿◡‿◡)
