Well, it was settled. Bren guessed. Her father was now at Mario's dad's. She and Mario were alone once again. She'd met her brother. Although, she didn't know what to make of him. He was stoic.
"I don't like him," Mario told her.
"Well, I don't know him." Bren was straight-lipped. Maybe she never would, but his wife was pretty adorable and at least she reached out to Bren and to Kang (Bren and her brother's dad) too.
She could see Kang was happy about that. He wasn't using the breathing machine as much. Yes, it was good that he was going to be fine. At least for right now.
Of course, there was the matter of the backyard wedding. It would be easier that way. It would be nice and her dad was going to walk her down the aisle. Although his friend had said he'd do it because he was faster. They'd had a good laugh, but she knew it meant so much to her Dad and so she wanted it to happen too.
"It's OK if Holden isn't there," Bren decided. She knew he was having a rough time. She didn't want to make him upset. Perhaps, it would be best to leave it at that.
However, Dora said she wanted to be a part of the wedding too.
"I didn't have any of my friends at my wedding," she said and she wanted Bren to include Tristan's girlfriend too.
Liv didn't care. She said she wasn't going to be there. This let Bren down the most. What was wrong with her? Bren had always been there for Liv, but once they mentioned Delia she said NO. LaLa was being her usual cold self, but she at least told her not to make it a big issue with that high school kid.
Bren didn't want to get depressed about this. She knew Mario needed her to be happy, and she wanted that. But by herself, she felt as if she might be sinking fast in waves of sadness. Why was she like this?
She'd quit her job at the grocery store. Yes, maybe that's when it happened. What was she going to do now? Her dad wasn't even there to take care of.
"There is still a lot to do," Eddie reminded her. It was then she decided she wanted Eddie to be in her wedding party. Yes, it was time everyone needed to know who her best friend was.
Passei para desejar uma excelente semana!

Hola!! me gusto mucho el capítulo. Besos
ReplyDeleteOh I'm glad Kang is hopefully going to be better. I hope Liv reconsiders. I guess having Delia there though is a dealbreaker for her... this wedding could be a trip :)
ReplyDeleteMe da gusto por Kang. Te mando un beso.

That's great! Eddie should be there.
ReplyDeletePoor Bren! She's going through a lot. I don't blame her for being hurt that Liv's not coming to her wedding. Breakup with Rico or not, Liv owes Bren her support. But I'm glad that Bren's asking Eddie to be in the wedding party. He's always a steady, loyal presence.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting what you said about weddings in your comment on my last post. I know what you mean; a lot of people want a big, splashy affair. If I'm being honest, mine was like that. And it was beautiful. But I also felt kind of funny and nervous, seeing all those faces as I walked down the aisle. And part of me couldn't help but think that it might've been better to have had something smaller. So, I like what you're doing with your backyard weddings. They're very special. 💗💍💗💍
