Pan wasn't sure if he was dazed or just confused.
A part of him felt he'd neglected Rox somehow, but really she was her worst enemy. And he just didn't think he could do anything to make this better. After all, he was pretty bitter with her. Furious in fact.
Really, he didn't want Wade's help, but when he had told Caitlin about meeting her so-called enemy, she had reacted with, "Great! Get to know him. I want you to be his best friend."
He'd almost crumbled when she said that at her house a couple of weeks ago. Her husband Deano was alarmed with her plan.
"Oh, you don't have to, really," he shook his head, no about the matter. But he knew Caitlin meant business.
Even then Pan thought he would never ask for Wade's help. This was just too much. Yet, at the time, he thought all was well with Rox.
He was still in shock over Rox's behavior. Now when he thought about her friend from PA, he wondered if she'd been talking about herself. Was she the one who'd been hurt? Not her friend? The thoughts raced through his head when Weezer told him what Nonnie knew.
Still, he knew he didn't need this kind of drama in his life and yet, he was closer to Wade than he ever thought possible. The guy texted him at least once a day.
Of course, Wade's input about Roxann was, "I'd drop her dude. You don't need this."
He wanted to. He did, but it was all so cold. Yes, he knew he couldn't trust her anymore. Still, she'd always been there for him. Now he was on shaky ground.
There was Ari to the rescue. He'd brought him home-cooked meals. No way was Ari going to let Pan starve. "If anybody can get through this, it's you two. You know her better than anyone."
"I dunno about that," Pan was left shaking his head. Really, he'd never been to this kind of misery before. Especially, with Roxann. He didn't dare tell Gabe any of this. His brother didn't need to know how Rox had cheated on him.
Even with the fresh lasagna waiting for him, he knew he was going to throw up, but he bit into the fluffy buttery roll and it was heaven. He got out the jug of whole milk and ate like a king that night even if he knew Rox was in the hospital.
love Lasagna ...yummy...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend
Good to eat
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. I didn't realize that Pan didn't know about all that Rox has been through. Despite what I said before about their breakup being for the best, I like that he doesn't want to give up on her. Maybe these two really are soulmates . . . 🤔💞🤔💞
ReplyDeleteMe dio ganas de pastelito. Veamos que pasara con Pan y Rox. Te mando un beso.
