"Tell me everything," Caitlin wanted to know what Pan knew about Wade. She'd been at Pan's a few minutes before Wade got home so she never really saw him, which left a big doubt with Pan. What if he wasn't the right Wade? If only he could believe that.

She was looking for DNA samples of his.

"Can you do that?" But he didn't stop her from taking some samples in the bathroom that was Wade's. Pan thought he should have, but she made it all sound like an experiment. There was just something she had to know. She sounded sad about it, but he knew she would be angry if he didn't let it happen. 

"You don't think he's had anyone over?" She wanted to know. Pan shook his head. After all, Wade's life was work and more work. He didn't think he slept well, but he could be like a robot sometimes and just shut down so silent.

Of course, Pan did his best to fill her in about how he and Wade worked together.

"We're friends," Pan assured her.

"He doesn't know how to have friends," Caitlin filled him in how he had such an unlikely relationship with Melvin. "And he's dead, you know."

Something got caught in Pan's throat. Why did she have to say that? His face tensed. Oh, he wished she wasn't here. It was all such bad news and the temps were dipping. Honestly, Pan felt he was in his own Siberia.

"Listen, you're doing the right thing," Caitlin was even lipped. She'd put the samples in her bag. He guessed she knew what she was doing. Perhaps if she was on the police force a lot more cold cases would be brought to justice. Pan didn't know what to think. Was she crazy? Or did she just need evidence?

Why couldn't she leave Wade alone? She didn't know him like he did.
