"Isn't it amazing?" Oh, he sounded so thrilled, but Dale wished Tristan would just settle down. She'd never seen him so nervous. Maybe he didn't want to be in the Everglades alone. She couldn't save him. Who did he think she was?
He went off to shower and to change into something more appropriate.
Maybe it was the allegators, she thought. This was why they were here, to study the alligators. She just wanted to stay in the room at the hotel and maybe read by the pool. It was ghastly humid. Hopefully, an alligator wouldn't follow him back.
But he had it all planned as she shouted in the bathroom. She wouldn't miss out on this adventure. She was not expecting this for Valentine's Day.
"I wish I was home," she didn't mean to whine, but there was only Derrick to talk to at work. Soon enough, he handed over the phone to Jade when she called him.
Dale's eyes lit.
"Jade? How are you?"
"Not bad," but she did sound sad.
"Did I mess up your day?" she sighed.
"You don't sound happy?"
"Kind of not." Dale couldn't lie even if she tried. That's when she had to spill to someone about her troubles with Tristan.
"Oh, but don't you like flowers?" Heart looked at Sunny as she turned away from the roses and sneezed.
"Um," she didn't know if she could even manage to speak in English. "I must be allergic."
She didn't know, no one had ever given her flowers before. And they were roses. "But, I love them."
Her nod kept her mute before she sneezed again. Of course, she hadn't managed to do much for Hart other than the candy she made.
"What should we do? Should we go out? Should we stay in?" He knew some Korean questions. Of course, it stumped her.
She knew she had to think quick. But how?
"Pasta," Sunny nodded.
"Pasta?"
They were at her place. Maybe she could keep him busy in the kitchen. Her eyes were watering. She went to find a vase for the roses. Perhaps they could do a quick selfie with the flowers. She would try her best to keep them for an hour or two.
Meanwhile, he looked in the fridge and found the wilting little tomatoes. Sunny almost snarled. She didn't really like tomatoes.
"What are you doing?" She looked at him shocked. There he was in his nice sweater and pants.
"It won't take long," Hart assured her. All he needed was a pot of boiling water, He'd roast the tomatoes with some garlic. She wanted pasta, didn't she?
Love today´s chapter

ReplyDeleteByłabym bardzo nieszczęśliwa, gdybym miała alergię na kwiaty...
ReplyDeleteI would be very unhappy if I had an allergy to flowers...
Delete❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ That makes both of us!
It's clear that Dale is grappling with conflicting feelings and uncertainty about the adventure ahead. Hopefully, she'll find some peace and clarity as she navigates through this unexpected Valentine's Day experience.
ReplyDeleteI am inviting you to read my new blog post.
Alligator Alley...
ReplyDeleteOh dear awkward. Nice to see Sunny' action tho...
I liked the chapter, Greetings
ReplyDeletenice story of life....
ReplyDeleteOh Valentine's day roses made her sneeze !
ReplyDeleteHope things between both go well .but love is all about "expectations "
Suffering begins when any or both fail sadly
And the troubles with Tristan escalate. I don't like that Dale/Delia is anxious and stranded in Alligator Land, especially after all she's been through. I'm so glad that she's talking to Jade, though. She definitely has insight when it comes to Tristan. 😮💔😮💔😮💔
ReplyDeleteOn a lighter but still unfortunate note, I hope that Hart and Sunny's Valentine's Day can be saved! 🍝🥀🍝🥀🍝🥀
I love your festive V-day collage! The heart-print dress is especially cute. Thanks so much including my heart clip! 👗💜💗💙👗💜💗💙
